Michelle Casserly
Attorney
Prior to joining Herzog Law Firm, Shelly Casserly practiced law at Burke & Casserly, P.C., where she concentrated her practice in Elder Law, including estate planning and trust administration. Before that, she worked for several law firms in Albany, New York, focusing on municipal finance and representing both issuers and underwriters in the issuance of tax-exempt municipal bonds.
Shelly graduated from Albany Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, and was inducted into the Justinian Society for excellence in legal scholarship. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University, majoring in government and French literature.
Shelly is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law Section. She also serves as an education volunteer for the Northeastern New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, where she presents educational programs for individuals, caregivers, and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
